This antique George III Sterling Silver teapot was made by Andrew Fogelberg & Stephen Gilbert in London in 1781. The body is of neo-classical form with oval shape and straight sides and featuring a domed, flush lid with wooden finial and handle.
The Artist Andrew Fogelberg (b.1732, Sweden) worked in partnership with Stephen Gilbert in London to create very fine silver objects distinguished by their high quality of workmanship and elegant, restrained classicism, exemplified in this teapot.
