Here is a rare opportunity FOR FINE SILVER COLLECTORS to own an superb quality English Georgian period sterlingsilver tea set by a great English maker.
Offered outstanding quality sterling silver tea set by B.P & J. Chas. EDINGTON, LONDON , 1830 - 34. COMPRISING: Tea
pot, open sugar and cream jug. Each piece is hand chased, ornately decorated with scrolls & SEA SHELL pattern to the base. Engraved with Noble
family crest in the central car-touche of the DRAKE FAMILY. The crest (Is seated dragon).
The
teapot lid decorated with flower / leaf finial. The handles are insulated. The body of each piece resting on a heavy round shell-like base.
The sugar bowl have gilded interior All pieces are hallmarked with a duty mark, lion, leopard head, date mark, makers initials
SIZE:
TEA POT - 6 3/8" H, 11" from handle tip to spout tip. Weight - 811 grams.
CREAM JUG - 6 1/4" H, 4 3/4" from handle tip to spout tip. Weight - 324 grams.
SUGAR BOWL - 5 1/4" high, 9 1/2" from handle tip to handle tip. Weight - 562 grams.
