    Description

This is an unusual find, a handwritten receipt on the top of a box lid (this is the lid only). There is a paper covering it
it reads something like: Sun-dried parcels of bills and books belonging to. Althrop London Weston and Leamington part paid by Mr Beaton, ? The bill of receipts of which are to be found in this box. These accounts were examined by the Highborn and overlooked by Mr Appleyard in May 1840 a balance that is to be found on this box but as these are not ? Her receipts to a may of Mr Beston entries as per books it was found impossible to complete a true balance sheet the one to be found ? Is as correct as could possibly be made which prove satisfactory to EARL SPENCER
    signed by Earl Spencer
