    1853 U.S. Assay Gold Coin PCGS XF-40 900 THOUS. Moffat & Co
    900 THOUS. Moffat & Co. reorganized as The United States Assay Office of Gold in 1852. They struck Ten, Twenty, and Fifty dollar gold coins. The venture was short-lived as their coins fell out of favor when the San Francisco Mint opened in 1854. This is a nice example with solid detail and pleasing problem-free surfaces.
