    THE OFFICE OF J.O. (Joseph Oscar) Mathewson Commission Merchant and AGENT for HAZARD & DUPONT POWDER COMPANY in AUGUSTA, GEORGIA, during December of 1870.
    This letter appears to be hand written and signed by J. O. Mathewson.
    This item has normal letter folds, some stains, some attached paper remnants on front and back, but is in suitable historical condition.
    Letterhead is approximately 8" X 10" in size.   Sold AS IS.
    BIOGRAPHICAL Note:
    Joseph Oscar Mathewson, born about 1836,(maybe in New York) died: about 1894,Augusta GA, Married: Susanna L(o)uther Boutet born: 1840, died: 1889.
    Children of J.O. and S.L. Mathewson is: Tracy Burum Mathewson born:July 04, 1876 died:about 1957.
