SOUTH McALESTER, I.T. INDIAN TERRITORY
during the year circa 1900 (my guess, so the date is up to you). The 2 girls are wearing some type of unique uniforms and are, both, aiming Stevens "crackshot rifles". This photograph looks like it may have been developed by silver emulsion process (old school way).
This picture was photographed by Wm. ( William ) Crocket (2nd scan shows his name embossed into the board) who, per the internet, had a photographic studio address of 223 E. Choctaw Avenue and a residential address of 801 E. Wyandotte Avenue...assuming both in South McAlester, Indian Territory.
CONDITION:
The photograph has what is known as foxing (brown spots on the board but not on the photo), no creases or broken corners and is in very good condition. The "EBAY ITEM" thing is just a loose piece of paper that is not attached to the item that is for sale.
