    Description

I am listing my medal as silver as I believe it is, but it is not marked as such so not absolutely certain. On October 17, 1908, Eduardo Newbery took off in the air balloon
"Pampero" along with Argentine Army Corporal Eduardo Romero (who happened to accept a last minute invitation by Newbery). The flight would take them northbound from Buenos Aires in an attempt to achieve a night-flying record. Neither the aerostat nor its pilot or companion were ever found. Eduardo Newbery and Eduardo Romero were the first Argentines ever to perish in an aircraft accident. My medal is about 1 1/4 inches high and the same width. Holed for suspension. To this day they have never been found or the remains of the balloon Pampero. See the scans. U.S. shipping is free. Paypal preferred.
I am always open to offers on any of my listings. Just ask. Worst thing is I say no.
