1909 ZEPPELIN THALER / FLIGHT OVER RHINELAND VALLEY SILVER MEDAL S-408

From my airship collection I offer this original 1909 Zeppelin silver thaler for the flight of the Z III over the Rhineland Industrial Valley. Brighter silver than my scans indicate. Looks like bronze in the scan, but it is full silver color and IS silver. Listed by Kaiser as his # 314, it is by Ortel at 33.5mm and looped for wearing. I lost my prices realized from the Dr. Kallir sale where this type in EF was estimated at 0-0 with a minimum opening of 0. So we know it sold for at least the minimum and most went for more as I was present. I have a notation on the flip that it sold for 5.
