Bullard Car Door Equipment Company, Incorporated under the laws of the Territory of Arizona, Phoenix Arizona
A single stock certificate for one share, par value .00, made out to Mrs. J B Hoffman (of Birmingham Alabama - this came from her family's Birmingham estate). Share # 2483, dated 3 January 1910 and signed by B. M. Bullard, Secretary; and by R. G. Bullard, President.
No endorsement or cancellation on the verso. Has the company's embossed gold seal on the recto which shows the company's main office (at least at the beginning of its history) as being in Phoenix.
Has neat railroad engine vignette on the face of the certificate.
Measures 11 inches wide by 8 inches tall (when unfolded)
While the company may have been incorporated in the Territory of Arizona it seems - according to Google - to have been located in Birmingham Alabama. Google search shows the St Louis Lumberman trade newspaper from 1909 saying that the company was building its plant in Birmingham at a cost of ,000.00 and that noted Birmingham Alabama businessman Peyton Norville had been elected vice-president & board member of the company. Many other google search results (using the company's name in quotes) associate this company with Birmingham.
It appears that they made doors & door accessories for railroad cars or railway cars.
some very minor aging; 2 old vertical folds (not unusual with old stock certificates) and there are tiny, tiny paper indentations or chips at the bottom of the 2 folds, else VG+
