    Description

    From my airship collection I offer this original 36mm silver medal for the 1930 first South America flight of the Graf Zeppelin. Struck In proof it has original old silver toning, of gold, blue and gray. Can be dipped out, but I think it looks great just the way it is.  The obverse has Eckener full facing left with legend around. The lovely reverse has the Graf Zeppelin superimposed on a map stretching from Germany to the center of South America. The equator in the center. The flight also was called the equatorial flight of the zeppelin. The edge is lettered PREUSS. STAATSMUNZE . SILBER 900 FEIN. A lovely large historical medal struck in proof.
