1930 SCARCE GRAF ZEPPELIN SOUTH AMERICA FLIGHT ENAMELLED BADGE C1721

Description

From my airship collection I offer this original  German car badge. It is listed by Kaiser as his #548.This one is large at about 65 X 88mm or about 3 1/8 X 2 13/16 inches. Made for the ADAC Friedrichshafen Motorclub for their 1930 South American flight of the Graf Zeppelin airship auto rally. I see only one other for sale by a dealer in Germany for 9 plus shipping. Mine has a much lower price as I have had it long enough and I no longer collect. The badge was probably removed from a car and was damaged at the mounting holes, but has been repaired thus the much lower price. Enlarge the scans and see it still looks just fine. I did have another but sold it recently for a bit over 0. Legend on the reverse by the maker Mayer & Wilhelm of Stuttgart. See the scans.
