From my airship collection I offer this original 1931 button hole badge for the launch on Aug. 8th 1931 of the US navy airship AKRON. Lou Hoover wife of the president christened the airship and I guess these were given out at that event or perhaps sold as well. I am not sure, but how many have you seen? A scarce to RARE zeppelin badge. Not marked as such, but seems to be silver. The airship itself is a bit over 3/4 inch long. Made by the Robbins Co. of Attleboro Massachusetts.
