1949 LOWE & CAMPBELL ATHLETIC GOODS Inter-Office LETTERS & PHOTOS Keedy Campbell

Description

An interesting vintage ephemera lot from 1949. Company inter-office correspondence letters from Lowe & Campbell Athletic Goods. Correspondence is between D. Keedy ("DK") Campbell and L.V. Brown of the Kansas City office and an employee of the Minneapolis branch, who was going to be travelling through Kansas City. They booked a hotel for her and made plans to show her the company headquarters (the factory is jocularly referred to as a "sweat shop" in one of the letters!)
3 photos are of the employee, Iva, visiting Campbell's home in Kansas City, Missouri, along with Mr. Campbell and Agnes Maguire (his secretary, also mentioned in the letters).
Lowe & Campbell was founded
in 1912
by Keedy Campbell and George Lowe. In 1931 it was sold to Wilson Sporting Goods but continued to operate as its own separate division until the 1960s.
Letters & photos have toning/discoloring. Photos were in a scrapbook; have some tape reside on backs, show some light buckling/edge creases. Paper letters have light creasing.
