1968 Vintage Ludwig Standard Silver Astro Floor Drum Set RARE! White Pearl Swirl. Condition is "Used".
What an exquisite piece of Ludwig history. I purchased this kit from the gentlemen who was the original owner. He played drums in high school and his mother kept this kit until he had kids and he let his daughters play it in high school band when they were drummers. His daughters are out of the house, him and his wife are moving and she told him “the drum kit is not coming with us.” So this kits legacy is being passed on to the next person.
A meticulously cared for Standard S-321 kit. The S-321 was an order option without the floor tom. If only I could go back in time and tell the original owner to purchase the full kit option! I’ve attached images of the original Ludwig catalog showing this came with an S-208 “Fury” kick pedal, S-1303 “disappearing spurs”, an S-1286 hard felt beater and I’m also including a true vintage set of official Ludwig hickory sticks with very gentle use.
This kit has always been in a controlled protected environment and you can see all of the heads are original to the kit with the exception of the snare top head and the tom top head.
The snare and tom bottom heads are beautiful and original and the kick heads are both original and in excellent condition. The kick has a very warm punchy sound to it.
The cymbal is NOT included with the set. I am selling it separately as it’s not original to the kit. It’s a Krut Special riveted ride cymbal. I will list it on reverb as well. The cymbal stand does come with it as well as the snare stand.
