1970s Slingerland 16x16 Floor Tom Chrome 3 ply NICE/ORIGINAL

This tom is 100% original except for the batter head. Reso head is original (tiny tear but still sounds great). All rods and washers are original, both hoops, all three legs and mounts as well as the muffler. No extra holes
Chrome wrap is in overall great shape (I cleaned and polished all the chrome with NO abrasives)…but it has a few spots with little dings/pits/scratches as per usual with these. I tried to photograph the worst spots but it’s hard because it’s like taking pictures of a mirror. Overall the drum is gleaming from a foot or two away.
Both hoops have the typical Slingerland semi deep pitting spread throughout but again they’ve been soaked/tin foiled and polished and look great from a foot away. All the tension rods and washers have been ultra sonic cleaned and polished. Only one or two show some rust and corrosion. Most came out absolutely wonderful. As per usual with Slingerland some lug inserts are a bit rusty here and there but all the lugs are in awesome shape and function great.
Tension rods snd washers are all original.
The lugs have never been off the drum. No other hardware but the hoops snd rods have….just removed them to clean and polished the shell. I’m sure if you wanted to take the lugs off and buff with a power buffer you could get the shell even better.
All three legs and mounts are original, no stripped mounts.
The shell has to be one of the nicest Slingerland shells I’ve seen (and I’ve seen hundreds). No ring separation, no edge issues, no corrosion inside on the hardware, badge hasnt been messed with. This is a legit survivor. If you can see past a few small cosmetic things you’ll love this drum. Ready to enhance your big chrome over wood set!
