    Description

    My husband-to-be and I have been on quite a journey to create our new marital home. I spent over a year looking at plans in books and online, then we had a dreamhouse plan (available in my listings) drawn up by a local draftsman.
    Given the intervening pandemic, though, we’ve decided to just add on to my current old country house. I pondered and pondered and ended up hiring a designer in Charlotte, NC who basically just copied my drawings and had nothing new to add and no great insights. That process has been soooo disappointing. Suffice it to say that I wouldn’t hire him again to design a dog house or a bird house! Haha. Beware of so-called professionals who advertise on Angie’s List!
    We’re back to the second or third square, I suppose....
    I’ve listed/sold several of the used books I’d bought while looking at pre-drawn plans. This is among the last houseplan books that I have.
    - Contains 300 plans, such as colonial, coastal, bayou, and Charleston designs.
    - 2002, First Printing by Home Planners, LLC, Hanley Wood.
    - Paperback.
    - A few color photos are featured on the first few pages before the black and white exterior sketches and interior floor plan drawings. There are a handful of black and white exterior photos scattered throughout the book.
    - Includes designs by “21 best-selling designers,” including Stephen Fuller, Donald Gardner, Frank Betz, and Sater Designs. I can’t say which plans are designed by which firm, but I recognize some from my year+ of studying over 1000’s of house plans.
    - 320 pages.
    - Original marked price was .95.
    - I purchased the paperback book already used. I’d say it’s in good condition. There’s a corner of a page folded down, bending of the spine about halfway through the book, scuffs and scratches on the cover, and a bit of wear and curling on the cover edges and corners.
