    Description

Being offered is a mixed lot of 5 antique bottles.
Included are 1) The bottle is marked on the bottom, Liquid Veneer.
The bottle shows age and wearing, there are some straw lines, and the inside is filmy and dirty.
There is a cork stopper so unsure if the inside can be cleaned.
The bottle looks intact with no chips and cracks.
Approx. 7 1/4" long by 2 7/8" wide front view by 2" wide side view. 2) Next is an antique bottle.
The bottom is embossed, Dr JGB Siegert & Hijos.
The bottle apparently was for medicine, bitters, and identified as a corktop.
The bottle shows a film in places but otherwise is intact with no chips or cracks noted.
Approx. 8 1/2" tall by 2 1/2" wide at its widest portion.
The bottle is thick and heavy.
    3) Is an antique bottle.
It is embossed Burnham’s Beef Wine & Iron New York, The bottle has a slight filmy inside.
    It is intact.
The bottle is made from a clear color glass.
I cannot find any chips or cracks to the bottle.
The outside has some minor surface scratches.
Approx. 4 3/4" tall by 2" wide front view by 1" wide side view.
    4) Is a vintage bottle which is made from a black glass.
The bottom is embossed, Mission Dry Sparkling, so assume this was for soda water or seltzer.
The bottle does show age, there are air bubbles inside the glass, some surface wearing, but the bottle is clean, not dug, with no chips or cracks noted.
Approx. 9 7/8" tall by 2 5/8" wide at its widest portion.
and 5) Is an antique bottle.
    It is embossed Johann Hoff.
The color looks black but when held up to the light it is a dark amber color.
Info I found on this maker was that the company made medicines similar to bitters.
Other info stated malt extract was used making this medicinal alcohol so was a way of being able to drink alcohol under the guise of it being medicine.
The bottle does show age and wearing.
There is a metallic color filmy substance on the outside of the bottle.
I can not see how the inside looks, but when held
to the light there are sections that look like crack lines but the outside shows no cracks or crack lines.
The bottle does have surface dings and nips, with one section having a surface chip revealing a light amber to tan color.
The top opening has surface dings but these have not turned into chips, as you can run your finger around the rim edge without any sharp sections.
I would guess this bottle was dug up from the ground or trash heap.
I am not sure how to rate something like this so have taken close-up pics to help assess the items condition, what you see is what you get.
Approx. 7 3/8" tall by 2 7/8" wide at the bottom.
