Description
Presented is a fine quality, antique, 5 piece, sterling silver tea set made by Reed & Barton in 1929. This classically designed set includes both a teapot and a coffeepot. The pieces are finely hand chased with acanthus leaf designs. None of the pieces have ever been monogrammed. The interior of the creamer and of the waste bowl each have a light gold wash. The inside of the pots have been cleaned and all pieces are ready to be used.This set includes:
1 Coffeepot: 8 1/2 inches from handle to spout and 10 1/2 inches tall.
1 Teapot: 8 1/2 inches from handle to spout and 9 1/4 inches tall.
1 Creamer: 4 3/4 inches from handle to spout and 5 1/4 inches tall.
1 Covered Sugar Bowl: 6 5/8 inches from handle to handle and 6 5/8 inches tall.
1 Waste Bowl: 4 1/4 inches in diameter at the top rim and 4 1/2 inches tall.
The teapot holds 40 oz.
The coffeepot holds 48 oz.
This set is in excellent overall condition, especially considering the age. The designs are crisp. There are no dents, no breaks and no repairs. The handles on the pots have a slight wiggle to them, which is hardly noticeable and they are still secure in their insulators.
