    PRESENTED IS A FINE QUEEN ANNE BRITANNIA STANDARD SILVER CHOCOLATE POT CREATED BY THE HIGHLY COMPETENT MAKER 'HUMPHREY PAYNE' OF LONDON IN 1710;
    HUMPHREY PAYNE APPRENTICED TO ROGER GRANGE 1694 AND THEN TO THOMAS PARR. HIS FIRST MARK WAS REGISTERED IN 1701, AND PASSED AWAY ON THE VERY SAME DAY AS PAUL DE LAMERIE IN 1751;
    THE COFFEE POT IS ENGRAVED WITH AN INTERESTING PERIOD COAT OF ARMS WITH THREE ST. ANDREWS CROSSES;
    TAPERING BODY, HINGED LID WITH A DETACHABLE COVER, AN ORNATE THUMB PIECE, FACETED SPOUT WITH HINGED FLAP, CUT-CARD WORK AT THE HANDLE;
    CONDITION:  AN OLD SMALL REPAIR TO THE HINGE OF THE LID AND SMALL DINGS AND BRUISES AS EXPECTED, OTHERWISE IN GOOD CONDITION;
    MONOGRAM ENGRAVED ON THE UNDERSIDE;
