Description
Presented is a nice American sterling silver tall coffee pot. This piece dates to circa the 1920s. This is a very classically made lighthouse style coffee pot, probably a copy of an earlier 1700s pot. The lid is hinged and has an urn shaped finial. The dark wood handle is attractively curled and scrolled. The pot has a delicate slightly faceted spout. The interior is clean and the pot is completely useable. A very high quality and well constructed piece, made from thick silver throughout. This piece is in good overall condition. There is a small ding to the lid where it strikes the handle when flipped open, but this is quite minor and there are also two very slight dings to the right of the spout. There are no splits, no dents to the body, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The underside of the piece is stamped 'sterling' and with the hallmark for Currier & Roby of New York.
This piece weighs 593 grams or 20.7 regular ounces.
The pot stands approximately 8 3/4 inches tall.
