Antique c1900 International Sterling Silver Hand Chased Repousse 3pc Tea Set

Description

Presented is a wonderful International sterling silver three piece tea set. This set dates to the circa 1890-1910. This set is done in a handsome bulbous bodied form, with elegantly scrolled handled and foliate thumbpieces. The set is beautifully hand chased around the bodies with classical floral and foliate scrollwork decoration, with further decoration on the lids as well. Each piece has a monogram of JG in elegant script on one side, with a monogram of TBT on the other side. These pieces are spotlessly clean inside and out, ready for use or display.
The set consists of:
Teapot: 8 7/8 inches tall. Capacity of 5 cups (40 fluid ounces/1.18 liters)
Sugar: 6 inches from handle to handle, stands 4 7/8 inches tall.
Creamer: 4 inches tall.
Each piece is stamped on the underside with the International Silver Co maker's mark as well as sterling and the number 622.
This set is in great condition. The designs are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The total weight for the set is 944 grams or 33.3 regular ounces.
