Antique Gorham Sterling Silver Art Nouveau Japanese Aesthetic Tea Coffee Set

Presented is a wonderful quality 5 piece sterling silver tea set. The set includes a tea pot, a coffee pot, a double handled sugar basket with lid, a creamer, and a waste bowl. The set is done in an Art Nouveau style, with a very Japanese aesthetic, with water plants and chrysanthemums, all beautifully chased. The set is monogrammed MEC in Japanese style script, in keeping with the piece's look. This is a fantastic silver tea set, likely custom made, and would make an excellent addition to any home or silver collection.
The underside of the piece is stamped 'sterling' and with the hallmark for Gorham, as well as the date cipher for 1897. Each piece is also signed in Japanese.
This set is in excellent overall condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The teapot is 5 1/2 inches tall.
The coffee pot is 6 1/2 inches tall.
The waste bowl is 3 1/4 inches tall.
The sugar with lid is 4 1/2 inches tall.
