Description

Presented is a wonderful American sterling silver teapot, made by Currier & Roby. Although this teapot dates to around the 1930s, the teapot is done in a much older lighthouse form, typical of English pieces from the early 1700s. The teapot is done in a tapered cylindrical form, giving it the classical 'lighthouse' profile, with an elegantly scrolled handle carved from beautiful wood.
This piece is in great overall condition for its age. There is some slight denting to the bottom on one side, but this isn't very noticeable. There are no splits, no leaks, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The underside of the piece is stamped 'sterling' and with the maker's mark for Currier & Roby, as well as the number 1792.
The teapot stands about 8 1/2 inches tall.
The teapot weighs 558 grams or 19.7 regular ounces.
