Description

The Bosch VJT-X10S is a rugged, single channel video and audio encoder designed for extreme CCTV applications. Its high level of durability is augmented by a wealth of features and functions. These include dual streaming options, advanced motion detection, alarm I/O ports, 2-way audio and a sophisticated security system.
Ruggedized Unit for Extreme and Mobile Applications
With its durable metal enclosure and built-in heater and cooling heat pipe, this unit can be safely operated in extreme temperatures ranging from a low of -22°F (-30°C) to a high of 140°F (+60°C). Its ability to withstand a significant amount of shock and vibration also means that it can be safely installed inside public transportation buses and trains. Additionally, with its 10-30VDC input, it can be powered in the field using batteries or even solar power.
Dual Streaming Technology
Video can be captured simultaneously using the MPEG-4 and M-JPEG compression formats. This gives users better control over how data is distributed over the network in accordance with available bandwidth and storage resources.
CF Card Slot
Video can be captured to a CF flash memory that goes right inside the encoder. This provides a quick and easy way to transfer or archive event footage. It also provides a backup path by continuing to record images in the event of a network failure. Images can also be recorded to an optional Bosch NVR, iSCSI device or internal hard drive.
Intelligent Motion Detection
Built into the encoder is a sophisticated motion detection system able to sense movement based on pixel changes and the size of an object. It also incorporates Bosch's MOTION+ technology for detecting camera tampering in the form of lens blinding/defocusing, hooding, spray painting or camera repositioning. This already high level of MD can be further enhanced by purchasing Bosch's licensed IVMD program, offering such advanced techniques as pixel, texture and trajectory analysis.
