British Brass Kettle Trivet ,United Kingdom Coat of Arms, Unicorn, Lion, Knight

Description

I do not see any maker marks, nor any metal markings. It looks like brass but see the underneath side where the legs join the trivet, that area appears silver color.
I have not cleaned it, sold as is.
The writing is French:

meaning
