Col. Stephen Ford House - 1685
The Ford House is an outstanding example of an early Colonial home. Built primarily of wood, with a massive fireplace core at its center, it is full of the most beautiful details. This drawing set captures many of those details, including wood paneling, ironwork, and of course, carefully drawn plans and elevations.
As a work of art these prints are worth purchasing in their own right. For those of you interested in building a historically inspired house, these plans offer an excellent starting point. The plan is ideally suited for a flat site. This house would be comfortable in a suburban or countrysetting. This spacious home has outside dimensions of approximately 39' x 45'.
