Nathaniel Macy House - before 1745
The Macy House is a gem of Colonial design, a classic saltbox with beautifully simple interior detailing in wood and brick. The plans show only 2 bedrooms, but with minor adjustments it could easily accommodate more.
As a work of art these prints are worth purchasing in their own right. For those of you interested in building a historically inspired house, these plans offer an excellent starting point. Suitable for a flat site, it could be adapted to a low sloping site as well. This house would be comfortable in a suburban or country setting. It measures approximately 36' x 45'.
