HISTORY: Walter E. Scott, aka Death Valley Scotty, celebrated prospector, performer, all around eccentric, and builder of “Scotty’s Castle” also built a great many other buildings on his vast Death Valley ranch property, including this efficiently planned, rustic timber framed cottage. With a large kitchen/sitting room at the center, a bedroom at either side and 1 bath, it makes an ideal country retreat for simple living.
As a work of art these prints are worth purchasing in their own right. For those of you interested in building a historically inspired house, these plans offer an excellent starting point. These plans are ideal for a flat or low sloping site. This house would be comfortable in a suburban or country setting. This house has outside dimensions of approximately 33’ x 47’.
