This is a cool item, which comes with 2 camera/sensor balls that you throw, roll or toss
towards an area you want to check out and monitor, the cameras are ruggedized and self righting and can turn 360 degrees via remote. They have infrared sensors, and are low light, and transmit video and audio to a receiver that also has a color LCD screen for live
remote viewing.  The kit comes in a custom Pelican Case, and includes manuals, a police style selfie stick, and a third "dummy" ball for practicing your throws.

ODF optronics Ltd. – Eye BallTM R1
A 360° sensor for field surveillance, designed for rapid deployment and real-time intelligence. This advanced, audio/visual surveillance sensor is deployed and operated by a single person. Each unit is only slightly larger than a baseball making deployment easy; simply throw the Eye Ball into the area you need to survey, mount it on a pole or lower it on a cable through a tunnel. Eye Ball is self-righting and rotates, to provide continuous 360° video and audio coverage of the target area. Night illumination, visible or invisible, allows the Eye Ball to operate at night or in darkened areas. The sensor is rugged enough to survive a “throw" or "roll” of more than 50 meters with landings in rough terrain, concrete, piles of debris, or even through windows.
You're in a tough situation; the clock is ticking. Somewhere ahead - around the corner, through a 2nd floor window, in an underground chamber - is your objective.
