Frank Lloyd Wright's Dana House, 1902
One of Frank Lloyd Wright's great Prairie Style designs, this was built for Susan Lawrence Dana. It is unusual in Wright's Prairie homes in having curved ceilings, which make for fascinating interior geometry. These drawings contain many interior elevations and sections that show so well how Wright developed his spaces three dimensionally and not just as extrusions of floor plans.
As a work of art these prints are worth purchasing in their own right. For those of you interested in building a historically inspired house, these plans offer an excellent starting point. The plans contain many smaller elements and compositions that could be adapted to the design of a smaller home. This house would be comfortable in a suburban or country setting. This spacious home is part of a complex of buildings that covers half of a city block. The main house itself has outside dimensions of approximately 76' x 169'.

SHIPPING: Your drawings are shipped to you, by US Postal Service, rolled, not folded, in a Priority Mail tube.
IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO BUILD: These plans are NOT complete architectural drawings as might be required by your local permitting agency and do not contain all the structural, waterproofing and other details and information necessary for construction. But your local builder or architect should be able to adapt these drawings and add to them as necessary. What they do provide is accurate design information about a REAL Frank Lloyd Wright Style home, not a pseudo-Wright tract house as you will find in the house plan magazines on your supermarket shelf.
