Rock Wool has been used for years as an ambiance effect when displayed onto a burner tube connected to a gas appliance such as a Pre-Fab Fireplace or a Set of Gas Logs. Causing what we know as GLOWING EMBERS
Disbursement: There is a "Proper Amount "that should be dispersed over the burner tube for proper burning and Glowing Effect. Please revert to your Owner's Manual for proper placement and amount ( Generally you'll tear small pieces (dime size) fluff it slightly (as if it were cotton candy), and sparsely distributed along the burner holes on the burner tube.) Again: Check Owner's Manual before attempting this task.
Fuels such as liquid propane and natural gas are Rock Wool Friendly meaning, it won't catch fire nor burn up. It is a Non-Combustible thereby letting the flame flow through it to give it that VERY INDIVIDUAL look, no two pieces of Rock Wool will look the same burning.
Supply of this product is usually unknown to most. When we think of (6 ounces) it seems it weighs nothing, but in volume, 6 ounces of Rock Wool is enough to supply for 12-15 years. This product's supply is 3 1/2 ounce's per bag and will allow you to rejuvenate your Glowing Embers happily for the next 3 years. Or Longer. That's a money-saving experience
Storage should be easy. This bag is equipped with a VERY CONVENIENT Hanging Hole, unlike any other make of it's kind. Now instead of tossing it in a drawer, and trying to remember where it is the following year! Have a Peg Board in your shop? Or maybe mount a Hanging Strip directly to the side mantle or fireplace and hang on a hook, ready at hand when needed!
