    Welcome to

    This listing is for a lovely Gorham Sterling Silver 4-piece tea service in the PURITAN pattern. The set has an elegant clean design with round shape and urn form and sits on a low pedestal base. No monograms. Marked
    with the Gorham trademark stamp "Sterling" with the individual piece number and date code for the 1949 on the waste and the other three pieces have the date code for 1950
    . Combined weight is 1440 grams.
    Set consists of:
    (1)  Teapot #452 (2 1/2 Pints) - Measures 8 3/4" high, 10 1/4" wide (spout to handle) and 5 1/2" deep. Weighs 635 grams.
    (2)  Lidded Sugar Bowl #453 - Measures 5 3/4" high (to top of finial), 6 1/4" wide (handle to handle) and 4" deep.  Weighs 340 grams.
    (3)  Creamer #454 (5/8 Pint) - Measures 5" high, 5 1/2" wide (spout to handle) and 3 3/8" deep. Weighs 235 grams.
    (4) Waste #455 - Measures 4" high with a 3 3/8" diameter top. Weighs 230 grams.
    This nice set is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting only minor signs of normal wear.
    This set is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no major flaws (dents, dings or repairs) and reflecting only minor signs of normal wear. The edge of the creamer's base is very faintly out of round (barely noticed except upon very close inspection). The teapot's handle is darkened on each side of both spacers and the spacer nail is extended on one side at top of handle. No other noted flaws. Any jeweler could clip off this length of nail and buff the handle in this are to polish out the darkened area, if desired. We found no damage to the silver and the overall condition of this set is excellent.
