H.M. QUEEN ALEXANDRA
Her Majesty Queen Alexandra, Queen Consort
of His Majesty King Edward V11., the eldest
daughter of His Majesty the King of Denmark,
was born December 1st. 1844, and died November
20th, 1925.
Her Majesty was married on March 10th, 1863,
in St. Georges Chapel, Windsor, but it was not
till 1868 Her Majesty began to take an active
part fin the social life of the country.
After the death in 1910 of His Majesty King
Edward VIL., Her Majesty Queen Alexandra
was Officially known as the Queen Mother, and in
1912, the fiftieth year of Queen Alexandras
residence in England, Alexandra Rose Day was
inaugurated in her honour,
The proceeds of this yearly effort are still dis-
tributed to hospitals, convalescent homes and
kindred institutions
