Description:
The names of many famous Jews are interwoven in the history of the Zionist Organization of America, the best known among them are the President of the Zionist Organization - Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis, Louis Lipski - writer and journalist, Rabbi Stephen Wise. Among the early activists of the Z.O.A. was Judah Leib Magnes, who immigrated to Palestine and became Chancellor-President of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
The Z.O.A. celebrated its seventieth anniversary in 1967.
Obverse
Around the rim the Hebrew inscription "Zionist Organization of America, 70th Convention, the Second National Convention held in Israel 11 -18Tamuz 5727". In the centre, the English "70th Z.O.A. Jubillee Convention, July 19-26, 1967, Second in Israel".
Reverse
Above and to the right, the State emblem. In the centre, inscribed in English: "Presented by the Government of Israel". On the left, below, a Star of David embossed upon a rose, accompanied by the initials: "Z.O.A.".

On the edge the State emblem and the words, "State of Israel" in Hebrew and English.
