    JAPANESE STERLING & ENAMEL TEA SET                   HAND MADE - 1000 PURE SILVER
    This is a very fine and rare
    late Meiji period
    Japanese
    1000 pure silver
    and partial cloisonne enamel
    four piece
    tea or coffee service.
    Signed.
    The set features
    partially enameled
    cascading wisteria
    and
    iris along gentle stream
    decoration
    and
    the original
    spread wing honey bee finials.
    Leaf wrap bamboo handles and spouts
    and
    the original
    enameled iris
    sugar tongs.
    Never monogrammed.
    This late 19th century Japanese 1000 pure silver partial enamel coffee pot 9 inches
    tall and 8 1/2 handle to spout and the complete four piece set 48 standard ounces.
    Hallmarked as shown "1000" & Japanese character for pure
    and work shop or maker's name in characters.
    In fine condition.
    Retains original hand carved detail throughout.
    Rich sterling ( 1000 pure) patina.
    Original handle secure.
    Covers flush  base.
    Several tiny dinks to sugar bowl, three small shallow bumps to cream jug.
    Some wear to enamel work.
