Lefty Fender Telecaster body, 1976- project.  I bought this body with the original neck and neck plate, and a tiny, chopped off bridge plate.  I was going to patch in the wood myself, but never got around to it. The neck ended up going on another 70's Fender body, so I'm letting this go. It looks like a previous owner routed the body to fit 3 humbuckers. It might be fun to go that route again. The majority of the routing is under a standard pickguard, so you would only need to patch in around the bridge, and have a cavity for the middle and neck pickups or any combination you wish.
The body is ash, and the grain is beautiful. It is basically one piece, with a small sliver by the jack. It weighs about 5 1/2 lbs, so it's not light. The finish has been sanded down to the clear sealer, which is quite thick. I was just going to buff it out, but it would look nice with a coat of clear, or a blonde finish to show off the nice grain.  Fender no longer sells ash bodies on standard guitars.
