M10x1.5 Brass Flange Nut - JIS Standard 14mm Head - Extra Tall 18mm JE10-40-355

Description

This specialty nut was created specifically for the Mazda Miata downpipe. This a direct OEM+ replacement for the OEM stainless steel nuts that seize and strip (JE10-40-355). The nut is M10x1.5 full brass extra long flange nut (no need for washers) that is a JIS standard head so which is 14mm instead of the metric standard 17mm.
This nut makes changing the exhaust manifold on a Miata significantly easier and removes the need to purchase new nuts from Mazda everytime the downpipe has to be removed. The extra length also covers the extra treads on the studs that normally rusts and makes changing the piece even harder. Though this was made specifically for this purpose, there are plenty of other applications this nut will help with greatly.
