    Description

Beautiful medieval brass rubbing from St Stephen’s Chapel in Norwich England. The detail work is exquisite. You can see each line drawn with precision and only 1 area that the artist wax dripped. On the research I’ve done, it’s call the ‘wife of W.H. Beckewell from 1490’ Churches used brass rubbings so family members could make a rubbing to remember them. This one is done in black beeswax. It is on a light weight fiber parchment paper. I am the 2nd owner.
Frame does not come with the picture, because it would be too costly to ship. Will roll up and ship in a tube.
I don’t know how old it is, but it’s been very well taken care of.
