1834 - St Clair Township, OH "Resolved, that in the dignity of our character, we highly approve of the course pursued by our venerable Chief Magistrate, not only in his veto upon the bank and land bills, and his protest against the proceedings of the Seante, but in all his offical conduct since his elevation to the Presidentail chiar, manifesting thereby a disinteredness unequalled by his predecessors."
