    Offered here are a pair of elephants hand carved in Sumatra pre World War II.
    5.25 inches tall.
    Very dark wood, almost black.
    Small white paint spatters noted.
    Toenails once had inlays, but several are missing.
    They once had tusks that they are now missing except for one.
    Because they are hand carved the wood has natural flaws.
    They are very heavy and carved from a single piece of wood.
