  • Condition: Age shows in discoloration of clothing, occasional rip. Hat strings have been replaced and one of the cape strings is half gone. The doll is in great shape. I don't see any loss of gold paint.

    Description

    Presented for your consideration is a pretty 12" Lady Doll by Ruth Gibbs. In 1946 Ruth Gibbs began making dolls with china heads, arms and legs on cloth bodies. This doll is dressed in older clothing. She has hat strings that have been replaced and cape strings that need replacing. The doll clothing has a few stains and rips but the doll itself is in good condition. Her necklace has all it's gold along with her golden shoes. She belonged to my mom who was a nonsmoker. She did have a small dog. Thank you for looking.
