Rare 1940s (?) Ohio State Ticket Sales Why Your Seats Are Where They Are

Description

Very rare - hard to find The Ohio State University football ticket policy letter "Why Your Seats Are Where They Are" written by Oscar L Thomas - DIrector of Ticket Sales.  It is on 8-1/2 x 11 paper and includes  an image of the horseshoe Ohio Stadium and ticket designation legend.  Paper does have folds in it.  This would look awesome framed and hanging on your #1 fan's wall.

The letter reads as follows (and ends with some humor!)
Why Your Seats Are Where They Are
In 1941 and previous years 8,500 seats adequately took care of the students and faculty at Ohio State's home games.  This year 27,000 seats are needed to accommodate these two groups.
To meet this unprecedented situation, drastic action was neccesary  The Athletic Board and the University Board of Trustees adopted teh "Priority Ticket Policy" which gave preference in the following order: (1) Students, (2) Faculty, (3) Alumni Association Members and Benefactors of the University, (4) Followers of the Visiting Team, and (5) all others.
Generally speaking, all orders for Group (1) and (2) have been filled on a basis of seniourity, for group (3) a lottery system was used; the visiting school controlled group (4); and Group (5) has been filled "First come-first served."  The diagram shows graphically what has been done.
But with all planning there are still 20,000- 30,0000 loyal Ohio State booseters who must be denied any seats at all for several games.
We are sorry, but the Ohio Stadium is made of concrete and there is still but one (1) 50 yard line!
Some day we hope to invent a revolving stadium.
