This medal was officially commissioned by the Benei-Berq Municipality to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. In bygone days, Benei-Beraq was an academy of pious learning, and the devout tradition has been revived in modern times by the establishment of yeshivot (talmudical colleges) and diverse religious foundations. The medal was not offered for sale by the IGCMC.  (From Israel's Money & Medals).
A stylized panorama of Benei-Berq with outstanding landmarks in a free composition, all within an incuse shape of the "Ten Commandments" tablet. Below, the Hebrew inscription, "And they were seated together in Benei-Beraq".
Reverse shows within an incuse tablet the town's coat of arms; a rising sun between two hills, beneath are the "Tablets of the Law" and in Hebrew divided to either side of them, the words, "Municipality of Benei-Beraq" and the dates of the Jubilee in their hebrew equivalent "5684-5734". Below, in Hebrew, "50th Anniversary. Below in English, "Benei-Beraq 50 Years 1924-1974".
