Raymarine E120 Classic Backlight CCFL to LED conversion & Polarizer repair
PLEASE READ EVERYTHING
We charge .00 to bench test and determine if your unit is able to be modded to work with the conversion. This is non-refundable.
The original CCFL backlight circuitry will be removed. This mod will lower the overall power consumption and heat related issues with your unit.
The factory backlight is replaced with LED's and newer low power LED driver.
What to expect
The conversion process will produce a much more crisp brighter display. The unit will consume less power and generate less heat.
There will be a change in the overall appearance of the display. Keep this in mind if you are running two displays side-by-side
The dimming function is eliminated, however the day/night function does continue to work.
At present this mod only works reliably on 12-14VDC power sources.
This WILL NOT repair damage to the units Polarizer (see picture 2 in this listing).
POLARIZER REPAIR (See Picture 2 in this listing)
We can repair the Polarizer, HOWEVER this is a very complicated process that may damage the LCD further. ONLY opt for this as a last resort. The LCD must be completely disassembled in order to do this option. Overtime the materials used in the LCD assembly have become very brittle and unstable. Although we use great care, there is no guarantee what so ever that we will not damage the display further. This service is performed AS IS WHERE IS.

TERMS OF SALE
This is a conversion process and or polarizer repair. No other unit functionality will be tested. So if you radar/network or other features are not working. This does not fix that!
LCD Conversions have a 1 year warranty.
Polarizer service is performed AS IS WHERE IS. This service may make things worse and should only be done as a last resort. If we can't fix it then there is no charge other than return shipping.
If for whatever reason we are unable to service the unit, return shipping will be paid by the buyer.
Please allow for a 2-3 day turn around. This does not include shipping times. Units will be shipped back USPS parcel post or FEDEX Ground with insurance and tracking.
