This is a rarely found, 7 inch tall,

china shoulderhead doll by
Ruth Gibbs
, Flemington, N.J.,
circa 1940s,
and designed by
Herbert Johnson
. She is just so sweet, all original and in mint condition wearing her original
red
and
blue
printed cotton gown, white net pantalettes and petticoat with matching printed cotton ruffle and
red felt bonnet
with ribbon ties. She has a perfect
cloth body with china limbs
and wonderful painted
gold slippers.
Her adorably molded features include dark blue painted eyes, long eyelashes, rosy cheeks, painted open mouth and pretty, brown painted hair. Her
original paper label reads
