    While many of the early issues (1958-1968) were issued in plastic holders, and subsequently affected by PVC damage, many others were mishandled and were cleaned, subject to surface abrasions and hairlines. This set is PRISTINE, having been housed in this beautiful custom holder and protecting the coins. Some of the coins, notable the cupro-nickel issues, are wonderfully toned as well. There are included the three main keys to the series because of their low mintages contained in this set: 1958 Menorah Proof, 1960 Szold Proof, and 1963 Seafaring Proof. Considering that the mintage of the 1967 Victory in non-Proof had an original mintage of 234,461 pieces, one can see the relative low mintages of the coins in this set. See images for actual item.
