    Description

Up for sale is a Squier Bullet Mustang body in Surf Green, slightly modified by me to fit covered humbuckers and larger CTS pots. Made of either basswood or poplar (Fender changed the listed specs recently), this body came from guitar with a 2020 serial number that I bought locally in order to try out the shorter 24" scale. I ended up really liking the slinkiness of the short scale and recently purchased a Mexican-made Fender Mustang, hence why I'm selling off the parts from the Squier.
Everything shown in the pictures (minus my digital caliper!) is included: the body, the top-loading bridge with saddles, the pickguard and control plate with mounting screws, the strap buttons, and the ground wire running under the bridge. You can see in the pictures the areas where I drilled and chiseled out some wood in order to fit the covered humbuckers (actually covered humbucker-sized P90s) and the CTS pots I used for my build. Please note that the removal of wood near the bridge means that the bottom pickguard mounting screw has very little wood to grab onto now, but it still holds at the wonky angle it was installed at from the factory (see picture). The corners and sides of the humbucker cutouts in the pickguard needed to be filed slightly, and the job isn't perfect (see pictures). The 3/8" diameter bushings of the CTS pots fit fine in the control plate without modification. I shielded the bottom of the pickguard with copper tape in order to reduce the noise from the P90s I installed.
Apart from the modifications described above, the body is in really good shape. There are no cracks or major dings anywhere. Apart from some light scratching and a slightly deeper nick in the paint near the control plate (pictured), there are no significant flaws in the finish. The control plate does have some scratches in the metal around the pot mounting holes (see picture), but the scratched areas were almost completely covered by the Strat-style knobs I used. The neck pocket is just a smidge wider than the standard 2 3/16" (see final picture), and the thin and light body made for an assembled guitar right around 6.5 lbs if I remember correctly.
I've done my best to fully describe and photograph this body, so it's sold as-is with no returns. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.
    Thanks for looking!
