Tiffany Chrysanthemum 1880-1939 Silver Soldered ( electro plated)Tea Set 5 Pieces Marked With Numbers Maker Flower Motif. One piece is marked T for the maker Tiffany. Tiffany started making the Silver Soldered tea sets to compete with the silver market. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Nice antique Tiffany set for coffee tea cream and sugar. The coffee carafe is 10” tall and the tea carafe is 9” tall. All the pieces have an initial on them. The monogram is JDB. The set has been polished recently. The pieces have Tiffany and Company with the numbers and maker and the size. These are antique set of Silver Soldered so the patina is unique and the set is ornate and elegant looking with the usual wear. The lids on coffee and tea pot attached. The sugar has a lid and a creamer that matches. ‪The set is silverplate as indicated by the 'EP' for "Electro-Plate', the 'Silver-Soldered', referring to the use of hard silver solder at all joints and attachments. I purchased in an estate sale and am offering for sale in order to let this elegant piece of history to be preserved. The set does not have a tray and only includes the coffee and tea carafe and the sugar with lid and the creamer. Very elegant design. The pieces have a scalloped edge with the chrysanthemum encircling the pieces.
