Unfinished Telecaster Body and Stratocaster Neck (Flame Maple, Maple, Mahogany)
Unfinished Telecaster Body and Stratocaster Neck (Flame Maple, Maple, Mahogany)
I bought this Telecaster Body and Stratocaster Neck with the hopes of building a custom guitar but I just never got around to it and I don't think I ever will. I paid 0 for this body and 0 for the neck originally and I'd really just like to get some of it back.  The Body is a NorCal Guitarworks body and the neck I purchased here on eBay but can't remember where exactly. I've included as many pictures here as I can so that you can see the exact condition these parts are in and what work still needs to be done to complete the guitar.  I DID wipe the guitar down with mineral spirits prior to taking pics so that it will look closer to what a finish may accomplish.
Body is a full 1/4" Book matched Flame Maple Top over Genuine African Mahogany with dual Humbucker routs, rear access electronics and does come with a mahogany electronics cover. The body is chambered for weight relief.
Neck is 3 piece maple and mahogany with a walnut fretboard and 1/4" maple inlay dots.  Frets HAVE NOT been installed.
**I initially intended to install a Floyd Rose into the body so the neck has been setup for a Floyd Rose Locking nut however a standard nut can be installed as well.
What I have done to the guitar:
I have sanded the guitar to 220 (will still need more sanding prior to stain and finish).
String through holes and ferrule (full plate) installed on body.
I drilled neck ferrules and installed threaded inserts into the neck for a "better than plate and screws" connection.
I sanded the neck heel slightly for higher fret access/comfort carve.
I will include ALL hardware shown in the pictures.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have but please keep in mind that I am NOT a professional of any kind.  I just wanted to build a guitar and it never happened (again haha)
Thank you so much for looking!
