    Description

Pretty little shoulderplate Doll seems to be more clay than porcelain, as her face and shoulderplate are a matte finish and hand painted. Her original hat which matches her dress will be sent with her, but it was glued to her mohair wig and it was peeling off, leaving a hole in the hat and a little funny place in her wig in the back - see pix. Her brown mohair wig is glued to her head. There are some vestiges of glue visible near her left ear; her wig covers this when styled. Her “new” hat is in itself old, hand crocheted, has little faded pink and blue flowers around the rim, and a bow in the back. She looks much cuter in this hat than her original. Her dress carries the Albert E. Price label and snaps down the back with large snaps. Over her dress is a lace-edged apron that is a little aged. I thought the apron was inside-out by the way the lace is sewn onto it, but it isn’t. Her face is apparently band-painted, and her eyes are a light brown, and very well done. She has an endearing little face! The initials on her shoulderplate are JVS. She was also barefoot when I obtained her, but I found little tie shoes that fit her.
